Indian Visa Application Process

How to apply for an INDIAN VISA APPLICATION PROCESS? Here are the steps you should follow. FRRO/FRO registration is a must if you intend to stay for more than 180 days. You can also apply for an e-Visa, which is valid for up to 7 days. But beware of the cons: e-Visas are non-extendable, non-convertible, and not valid to visit cantonment areas and protected zones.

FRRO/FRO should register with FRRO/FRO if intention is to stay for more than 180 days

Generally, a foreign national should register with FRRO/FRO before staying in the country for more than 180 days. This registration process can be completed online or at the nearest FRRO office. During registration, a foreign national should provide his/her passport, 4 photographs, and fingerprint impressions. If the registration certificate is incomplete, the FRRO official may visit the place of residence to check the lease agreement.

Before you apply for a visa, you should check whether your visa states "Registration in India within 14 days". If the visa states "Registration in India within 14-days of arrival", you must register with FRRO/FRO. The registration process is easy but you should have the required documents handy. The list of documents below is not exhaustive and may vary from one FRO to another.

e-Visa is non-extendable

If you're wondering how to extend your e-Visa, you've come to the right place. This electronic visa application is available for visitors with a specific purpose in mind. This type of visa can be used for visits to India for a short period, such as for a yoga course, medical treatment, or a conference organized by a government department.

An e-Visa is valid for only a specific period of time. In the case of a tourist or business traveler, the e-Visa can be used for a single entry for up to 30 days. An e-Conference visa can be used for one entry to India, but is only valid for that period. You can only receive one of these visas for the same purpose in the same calendar year.

Non-convertible

A non-convertible Indian visa can be obtained by applying online. There are several benefits of this visa type. The process is straightforward and does not require the submission of any paper documents. However, you should have a valid method of payment, such as UnionPay, or a Paypal account, to apply online. Once you have registered, you can start the process of applying for your visa. You should make sure that you have enough money to cover the cost of your trip and that you have a return ticket.

First, you must make sure that you have two blank pages in your Canadian passport. You should also make sure that your Indian passport has a surrender stamp or certificate with a unique number. Your Canadian birth certificate must include the names of both parents and two blank pages. Lastly, you must upload your fingerprints. Using these fingerprints will ensure that your identity is authentic. After submitting your documents, you can choose to go to the Indian Mission or the Indian Visa Application Center.

Not valid for visiting protected/restricted/ cantonment areas

Unlike the traditional Indian visa, an e-Visa is issued only for a single entry to India. While an e-Visa is issued on the same day, the visa cannot be converted or extended and is not valid for visiting Protected/Restricted/Cantonment areas. In addition, an e-Visa cannot be used for the purpose of visiting a National Park or a Protected/Restricted Area.

Visitors should apply for an e-Visa before travelling to India, as a regular Indian visa will not work. The e-Visa can only be used for short-term visits. It is not valid for longer visits or for visiting Protected/Restricted/Cantonal areas. However, the e-Visa has some limitations that may affect the process.

Indian Visa Passport Requirements For Singapore Passport Holders

Before traveling to India, you should know the INDIAN VISA PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS. For this purpose, you must have a valid passport or a visa that will allow you to enter the country. The visa must be valid for at least six months upon arrival in the country. Upon arrival, you can enter the country only through an airport or seaport. You will need to present your passport and visa before you leave.

To apply for an Indian visa, you must submit a passport-style photo of yourself. The photograph should be clearly visible. Unlike a passport photo, you can take a high-quality photo with your smartphone. The photo should be of a clear and unblemished background. Do not reuse your passport photo; the photo must be taken against a white background. Lastly, the Indian Visa requires a clear photograph of your face.

While it may sound confusing, the Indian visa requirements for Singapore passport holders are very simple to comply with. It is important to remember that visa requirements differ for a tourist and a business traveler. While a Singapore visa is valid for six months, an Indian visa must be valid for a minimum of a year. You will need to have a passport that is at least six months old, as well as a valid visa.

Chinese citizens should note that the eVisa does not determine admissibility. You must plan your trip before the eVisa's validity expires. You must check your data before submitting it, as mistakes in eVisa software can cause delays or rejection. Consult the nearest Chinese Embassy if you have any questions. In addition to the visa requirements, you should also consider obtaining a health insurance policy to work in China.
