Via is a device that provides independence for the blind and visually impaired during running or walking.
People with vision disabilities are dependent on the availability of counselors to maintain fitness and health.
Using voice and sensory indicator, the device navigates the visually impaired while maintaining safe distances from obstructions and optimal running pace.
The project was done as part of Inclusive Industrial Design studies at Hadassah College Jerusalem.
ויה הינו מכשיר המעניק עצמאות לעיוורים וכבדי ראיה במהלך ריצה או הליכה.
אנשים בעלי מוגבלות בראיה תלויים במלווה ובזמינותו על מנת לשמור על כושר ובריאות.
באמצעות חיווי קולי וחישתי, המכשיר מנווט את כבדי הראיה תוך שמירה על מרחק בטיחות ממכשולים ועל קצב ריצה אופטימלי.
