  • Charged with driving global sales growth and all aspects of operational delivery of same.
  • Responsible for debt and equity fundraising.
  • Accomplishment #1: completed £2.5m equity fundraising (Oct 2016) and £2.5m debt refinancing
  • Accomplishment #2: built finance team and delivered first class management information and reporting to drive commerciality in the business
  • Accomplishment #3: lead a sale of the business to Middle Eastern investors realising a multi-million pound exit for investors

Gatwick Airport
  • Led the team responsible for strategic business planning, demand planning and capacity utilisation, capital allocation of the Airport’s £2billion capital programme, and leading the drive for business optimisation (both financial and operational).
  • Accomplishment #1: developed the first fully integrated airport (financial, operation, commercial, and capex) five-year business plan that drove EBITDA growth from £220m to £400m and invested £2.5b of capex
  • Accomplishment #2: led the largest capacity declaration in the history of the airport, including negotiating with internal, external (airlines, regulators, and community groups)
  • Accomplishment #3: successfully led the closure of the airport’s defined benefit business scheme without industrial action
  • Accomplishment #4: executed a £350m bond issuance and £300m debt refinancing at historical low cost and managed all aspects of associated investor relations
  • Accomplishment #5: led transition from UK GAAP to IFRS and all aspects of the Group’s financial and management reporting
