Remote Snr Devops for AWS 2 days a month

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to provide ongoing support and improvements for our cloud infrastructure. The company’s platform is a SaaS web application hosted entirely on AWS, leveraging Docker, ECS Fargate, CloudFront, Route 53, and load balancers, with infrastructure fully defined in Terraform.

capacity is 2 days a month remotely for maintance and support for exisiting infrastructure. support may be at differents times but you get a 2 days retainer.

occasionally there may be projects and you may also offer your suggestions and expertise to improve and tweak the system

The role includes:
Initial onboarding to learn and review the existing infrastructure (a few days for the on boarding
Proposing and implementing improvements, especially around security, scalability, and best practices.
Ongoing availability for support, small changes, and ad-hoc projects as the system evolves.
This is a flexible, retainer-based role—ideal for a professional who can dedicate a fixed minimum availability (approx. 2 days/month) while also being available for additional projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and document the existing AWS infrastructure.
Create an improvement plan for long-term scalability and security.
Maintain and update infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
Manage AWS services: ECS Fargate, CloudFront, Route 53, Load Balancers.
Provide ongoing support for infrastructure changes and new project needs.
Collaborate with management to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and continuity.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS, Fargate, CloudFront, Route 53, Load Balancers).
Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to suggest improvements.
Availability for ongoing remote freelance work (~2 days/month with flexibility).

Excellent communication skills in English.
