Extensive experience developing and supporting dynamic web sites. Most of my development on the server-side has been done in the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment. On the client-side, I most often develop using a combination of Javascript, CSS, and Flash.

Developed various Flash based applications using ActionScript 2.0 which possessed features such as: playing streaming video/audio, uploading binary media files (images, movies, etc..), providing asynchronous communication with backend servers (like AJAX except using Flash instead of Javascript) , and interfacing with 3rd party databases by requesting, receiving, and displaying data via XML.

Used the YouTube Data API to interface with YouTube media and metadata. Developed a backend network to support indexing and delivering YouTube content. This backend network consists of reverse-proxy/caching server, MySQL database, and media store. The network performs several levels of caching both media and metadata, performs load balancing and routing, and is easily expandable to handle higher traffic loads.
