TechWriters Required for 6 months at SAP Labs in Raanana

Overview

SAP Labs Israel is looking for experienced TCs to help develop end-user
"knowledge" for an exciting new business application under development by
our Small Business Solutions Business Unit.
These positions are being outsourced but MUST be performed onsite in our
Raanana premises.
Estimated project duration is 6 months.

Details

Project scope includes developing online help, "What's this"
descriptions, onscreen text (e.g. for wizards), scripts for e- learning and
possibly business process overviews.
The goal of all these deliverables is not just to teach our application
users how to perform tasks in the application, but also to enhance their
awareness of how the application can help them in their regular business
routine.
Target audience is international end users from diverse educational and
cultural backgrounds, so no idioms etc.

Requirements

You will need to fulfill ALL of the following criteria:

* have two years' actual technical communications
experience (able to work independantly after intial training,interview SMEs,
understand processes, work according to project plans, meet deadlines, etc.)
AND/OR
experience in training or preparing training materials

* native speaker of English with excellent writing and editing skills

* able to write American English (spelling) adjusted for international
audiences

* can correct errors of language (spelling, grammar, style, and so
on) without changing the meaning of the text.

* willing to work onsite in our offices in Raanana Industrial Zone (SAP Labs
Israel building)

* able to put in extra time before major project milestones (about
3-4 during the project lifecycle)

In addition, business applications knowledge or a business background are a
strong advantage.
Applicants may be asked to do a short test.

Keep in mind that TCs will need to be totally dedicated (in both body and
spirit) to the project during normal business hours (no moonlighters or
