Freelance 2D Game Developer (3-Month Contract with Potential for Permanent Role)

Our client, an innovative game development company, is seeking a talented and passionate Freelance 2D Game Developer for a three-month project. The goal is to create a game inspired by the classic "Worms" series, encompassing both game mechanics and graphics. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an exciting project, with the potential to join the company in a permanent capacity upon successful completion of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop a 2D game from concept to final productDesign and implement engaging game mechanics, levels, and features.
- Create and integrate 2D graphics, including characters, environments, and UI elements.
- Work closely with our client to understand their vision and provide creative input.
- Ensure the game is optimized for various platforms and meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with other team members, if applicable, to ensure a cohesive and effective development process.
- Regularly update the client on progress and incorporate feedback as needed.


Requirements:

- Proven experience in 2D game development, with a portfolio showcasing completed projects.
- Strong skills in game design and an understanding of what makes a game fun and engaging.
- Proficiency in relevant game development tools and software (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, etc.).
- Experience with graphic design and animation for games, including character and environment design.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Passion for games and knowledge of current gaming trends.


Duration: 3 months (with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role based on performance and project success).
