Special Needs Learner - A Must For Every Student

Special needs is a very broad term. Before we begin to determine which of our students have specific needs, we need to determine what the term means. The term is often used to refer to a student who has a disability, such as blindness, deafness, or a specific mental illness. disability But the term should be used much more broadly than it is currently used.

Description of a Teacher

Now you can say that this is not true. I agree that there are teachers who specialize in this field and are trained to work with students with very specific special needs. These teachers do an amazing job. But if you look at the description of a special needs learner, you realize that the need for special needs teachers is so high that it cannot be limited to the few students currently available.

Description of a Student

Any student who is unable to learn and succeed at the same level as most other core students. Now there can be a variety of reasons why a student cannot perform at the same level as her peers. Some of the most obvious are, of course, the obvious physical and mental disabilities that some students suffer from.

Mathematics

In a class where math is explained in the old-fashioned chalk-and-talk style, it's clear that a blind student will have a hard time keeping up with other classmates. It is widely recognized that a student with Down syndrome has more difficulty assimilating information than a student without a mental disability.

Learing Process

But often the disability of a student with a special need is less obvious. When Jack misbehaves in class and disrupts the learning process and makes life worse for his teacher and classmates, we want to send him to the doctor for a prescription to calm down and study in class.

In most cases, this will be the way. But there is always another side to the coin, and these students can generally be divided into two main groups. We have a calm and obedient student who enjoys teaching because he will never give you trouble in class.

Final Verdict

There are schools where most of the students study very well and they seem to be exemplary schools. On the other hand, we find schools that have students who, on average, are not doing very well. If we look at it globally, it is easy to see that student performance depends in many respects on the economic sustainability of the region where school students come from.
