UK Partner Visa for Defacto Couples

The partner is also known as the UK defacto visa under which it allows the unmarried partner of a citizen of the UK to enter and remain in the UK. The only condition applied to this visa is the tenure of their relationship that must be of minimum two years long and they remain committed as well as in a continuous relationship. Under this UK defacto visa, all gender of couples whether heterosexual or same-gender couples can qualify with the same set of rights and benefits as compared to those who are married or living as civil partners.

If you are engaged or married, then you can also apply for a UK Fiance visa instead.

A UK defacto visa vouches a two-year probationary period in the United Kingdom with an option of Indefinite Leave to Remain and also apply for UK nationality after two years subsequently. However, the couples must have been living together for a minimum of two years before the defacto partner can apply for a partner visa. All the genders are treated equally according to the rules of immigration if they hold a defacto visa, having no restrictions to work within the boundaries of the UK. Clearance is also obtained by all applicants before entering the United Kingdom otherwise applications will get refused.
