This book presents a collection of research articles that concerns the optical filters commonly used on optical communication systems, like the Bragg grating filter, the hybrid Solc filter and the photonic crystal filter. These devices were designed and optimized to isolate and filter one or several channels from multiplexed optical signals which are transmitted on high data rates optical links.
