Training User Experience Under the Sun of Crete

One day I received a newsletter that said,

“If you are a website or app designer, a great opportunity awaits you: 15 especially selected designers will be flown to Crete. Come spend 3 days under the sun to attend a big app design competition!"

Now I ask you, wouldn't you sign up?

So our studio signed up for the event and we participated in the competition. Guess what?
We were one of the 15 design companies selected out of hundreds of other contest entries.

We were assigned to work with a team of 12 top managers of an international organization in order to teach them the importance of a good user experience.

Exactly what is a positive user experience? It’s the ability for a website or an app to succeed in creating a pleasurable and positive experience for the person navigating the site or using the app.

"Does this website/app offer me any value?”
"Does it motivate me to…?
“Is it easy to operate?”

These are the questions that always run through the minds of users as they interact with your websites and applications, and the answers will dictate whether they’ll choose to become regular users of your products. Designing a successful user experience is all about making sure that the answers to the above questions are always a resounding, “YES!”

So, how did we complete this mission? The managers had to come up with an idea for an application, and we helped them design the UX&UI for the app and bring their idea to life, as an actual product.

Here is an example screens of the game based product:
