Where to go out on a Wednesday night in Haifa

As in any student city, mid-week brings many opportunities to discover some cultural jams. Because of the large concentration of colleges, and therefor many students, we chose to focus on the lower city of Haifa and give you our top recommendations for things to do on any given Wednesday night.

1.Eli's Bar
Every Wednesday in this hip Blues/ Rock Bar you can check out a live band playing some classic tunes.  Not sure where they find them but the staff in Alice's would not embarrass any modeling agency - the bartenders there are gorgeous!. Add to that high-quality bar food and you got yourself a winning combination

2.kabareet
One of the nicest things in downtown is the variety of music and culture. Every Wednesday at kabareet Bar, you will find a live Arabic band that will carry you away on a magical journey through the sounds of far away desert winds. Not many people know this but from the beer tap with the Arabic logo actually come out water. Crazy no ;)

3.Z-City
On the weekend this place is one crazy Russian celebration but on a Wednesday the vibe is much more chill. Nevertheless, you can still find people shaking their asses to great pop music. The prices of alcohol are super cheap there (20 ILS for 0.5L beer) and you can easily meet people in a friendly game of pool.

4. Syncopa
It may be the bar with the most drunk bartenders in Haifa. If you are looking to pass a night with a a lot of alcohol (Drink Tubi 60 If you ask me), than this is the place for you. In Syncopa there is one event or another going on any day of the week so even if a stand-up show in Hebrew is not exactly your cup of tea, a local live show will up your spirit. Make sure to check the weekly line up in advance.
